FUR & ICE ENTICE!

Dennis Basso oversaw an intense afternoon of "Ladies who Lunch" when he threw an afternoon affair to honor Rena Sindi and the release of her book Be My Guest; Theme Party Savior-Faire. Arriving guests where invited to down shots of Svedka vodka and exchange their coats for expensive Basso wraps. Guests reclined on dashing silver chairs with mint green faux-fur backs and dined over $50, 000 worth of fur swatches used for table linen. Susan Holland & Company prepared an exquisite sit down for 70 and offered each course on expansive fur and ice creations. Sea scallops and shrimp were presented on frozen blocks of ice with fur trim. Pan smoked filet of salmon with horseradish jus and cucumber-sake granita, acini di pepe with baby spinach and haricots verts with roast fennel and caramelized onions was served on crushed ice with fur accents and individual baked Alaska’s were presented under square-cut ice domes.
