DAVID LACHAPELLE CHOOSES WORKHOUSE PUBLICITY
Workhouse Publicity was the Public Relations firm of record and exclusively handled worldwide publicity, promotion, special events and sponsorship campaigns for legendary photographer David LaChapelle from 1996-2000.

David LaChapelle's unfettered images, both bizarre and gorgeous, have appeared on and in-between the covers of Rolling Stone, Interview, Vanity Fair, French Vogue, The Face, The New York Times Magazine, The London Sunday Times, ID, Spin, and others. His uncompromising dedication to originality is legend in the worlds of fashion, film, and advertising. "Art directors and editors who have worked with Mr. LaChapelle share one comment about the work they receive at the end of the epic productions", writes New York Times Fashion Editor Amy Spindler, "It is always something that they haven't seen before". Conde Nast Editorial Director James Truman comments that "his imagination has no brakes on it," and USA Today concludes that LaChapelle is "changing the way we see fashion."

Originally trained as a fine artist at North Carolina School of the Arts before moving to New York in 1980, LaChapelle enrolled in both the Arts Student League and the School of Visual Arts upon his arrival. Working as a bus boy at Studio 54 served as his introduction to Andy Warhol who offered him his first professional job shooting for Interview Magazine. Recently ranked among the top ten "Most Important People in Photography" in the world by American Photo, he has continued to garner numerous awards including five Life Magazine Eisie Awards, VH-1's "Photographer of The Year", The International Center of Photography's "Applied Photographer of The Year" Award, and "Best New Photographer" by both French and American Photo Magazine.
